The program of Doctor of Medicine is an educational program develop practical and clinical capabilities in maintain and restore health through the prevention and treatment of illness.
In order to improve the quality of academic and sharpen its professional skill, the universities have cooperated with many agencies and professionals engaged in health care service, for example: hospitals, health centers, polyclinics, independent midwives and other health care services at local, regional and national level.
The universities are located in a campus with nice atmosphere, creating positive climate that is conducive to student learning. These Government universities are provided with various facilities that support education, research and community service are also recognized by our Malaysian Public Service Department (JPA) and Malaysian Medical Council (MMC).
The programme aims to educate students by applying teaching-learning processes that compels the completion of a curriculum package in order that students obtain sufficient knowledge, skills and behaviour. Moreover, the curriculum model used is competence-based education. This model requires integration of scientific disciplines and a multidisciplinary approach in curriculum delivery. A balance between specific and general courses is obtained, in each subject as the learning outcomes are mixture of generic and specific competencies.
